PRSA’s national Bylaws outline the qualifications and powers of our Board of Directors, National Assembly and Nominating Committee, and establish our organizational structure — from Chapters and Districts to Task Forces and Committees to communities, such as PRSSA and the College of Fellows. The Bylaws also codify the importance of Ethics and Accreditation to the Society, and set forth our financial reporting provisions.
Delegates to PRSA's 2009 Assembly, which took place Nov. 7 in San Diego, approved a new set of Bylaws for the Society. This is the first time that PRSA's Bylaws have been thoroughly revised, since they were originally ratified more than 60 years ago. The revised Bylaws became effective immediately upon the Assembly's approval.
