Your Public Relations and Communications Community

Industry Leaders Wanted

Every year, dedicated volunteers step forward to help lead PRSA. Serving on our board of directors is a prominent and visible leadership opportunity not only within PRSA but within the entire public relations profession. PRSA’s Nominating Committee puts forward candidates for positions on the PRSA board, as well as at-large Assembly Delegate positions.  Assembly Delegate representation is comprised of representatives of different member communities defined in our Bylaws; to find out how to serve as a Delegate representative, contact the Chapter, District, Section or other community you are interested in serving.

PRSA Nominating Process
Strong boards need exceptional leaders. PRSA’s Nominating Committee helps identify and encourages outstanding members to consider available leadership positions. Leadership opportunities are open to all interested, qualified and eligible candidates.

East Central District Director Position Filled

The PRSA Board of Directors has elected Stephen D. Iseman, Ph.D., APR, Fellow PRSA, to the position of director in the East Central District. Dr. Iseman will serve the remainder of the term, ending Dec. 31, 2010, which was vacated in January by Catherine Huggins, APR, who resigned due to pressing professional obligations.

Dr. Iseman is professor of Communications Arts/Public Relations and director of the Public Relations Program at Ohio Northern University. In 2009, he was named PRSA’s Outstanding Educator of the Year and has served as national faculty advisor to PRSSA.
