Size doesn’t matter, but being able to navigate the politics does. Political campaigns call upon small and large institutions of higher education, and sometimes are invited to campus to host political debates. What does hosting such an event that brings both national and international attention to your campus entail? Hear directly from two universities that hosted the 2012 U.S. Presidential Debates about the endless nights of preparation, significant costs, campaign organizers, secret service, national media outlets and personalities — and if it was all worth it in the end.
