David Tovar is the vice president of corporate communications for Walmart and is responsible for all of the company’s external communication efforts. Tovar provides strategic direction and oversight to the teams responsible for Walmart’s crisis communications, executive communications, consumer and brand public relations, global e-commerce communications, digital and social media, financial and legal communications, and corporate social responsibility communications. As a corporate officer, he provides guidance to Walmart’s CEO and executive council on topics beyond public relations.
