PRSA Technology Section Presentation: "Bing: Does the World Need Another Search Engine?"

The search engine has been one of the most disruptive and powerful innovations of the Internet era, creating challenges and opportunities for markets. Adam Sohn from Microsoft will share how Bing engineers evolved the "decision engine" in light of emerging web trends within social media and beyond. In this keynote address, Sohn will challenge your conceptions of search engines, illustrate the Bing vision and provide a greater understanding of what the future holds.

Adam Sohn, as senior director of public and influencer relations for Microsoft Corporation, oversees the company's strategic communication initiatives for the company’s Online Services group, which includes the popular search engine Bing and the MSN portal.  Sohn spent the last 13 years at Microsoft driving initiatives within the corporate communications, platform strategy, consumer and online and Zune groups.  Prior to joining Microsoft, Sohn worked in numerous public affairs roles, including two successful campaigns for President William J.
