NYU SCPS Master of Science in Public Relations and Corporate Communication

NYU’s Master of Science in Public Relations and Corporate Communication (NYU SCPS PR&CC) gives communication professionals an important, differentiating credential in the competitive PR landscape. The School of Continuing and Professional Studies (SCPS) works with senior executives from leading public relations agencies, corporations, governmental bodies, and public relations associations to craft a graduate program curriculum that meets the growing need for skilled professionals while adhering to NYU's high academic standards.

To provide students with the best academic experience and networking opportunities, the program collaborates with The Arthur W. Page Society, Edelman, Johnson & Johnson, Ketchum, Microsoft, MS&L, Pfizer, PRSA, United Nations and Ruder Finn, among others. Because of its New York City location, the program gives students direct access to guest lecturers who are heads of public relations firms, chief communication officers of Fortune 100 firms, or PR experts in specialized fields, such as fashion, sports, entertainment, healthcare, technology or nonprofits.

Our faculty are all leading scholars and practitioners in the PR and corporate communication field, and our program boasts a talented student body from around the world, including Fulbright Schoiars and Phi Beta Kappa members. PRWeek magazine gave the NYU M.S. in Public Relations and Corporate Communication its inaugural "PR Program of the Year" award citing "the ability of [the program's] professors to use both real-world case studies and instructive scenarios to educate students about new media, media relations, crisis communications, and other tactics."

As a NYU SCPS PR&CC student, you combine theoretical learning with real-world experiences as you master skills in research, strategic planning, written and oral communication, execution, and evaluation in New York City PR agency and corporate communication environments. Through a practicum, research experiences, and a Capstone Project, you learn from industry professionals and enhance your knowledge in the world's most vigorous and challenging public relations marketplace.

Ultimately, you and your classmates will become the next generation of professionals from which today’s leading organizations will choose their spokespeople and strategists. Whether you are interested in corporate communication for a large company, international PR, healthcare PR, entertainment and sports PR, or PR for nonprofits, the program gives you the critical advantage to help you achieve your career goals.
