Derreck Kayongo will draw on his childhood experiences as a Ugandan refugee living in Kenya and inspire you to “Tap Your Power to Create Change.” Using his gifts as a storyteller and passion for life, Kayongo will highlight the power of simple ideas and creativity to address global problems. Now CEO of the Center for Civil and Human Rights, located in Atlanta, Kayongo recalls that upon first arriving in America, he was struck by how many different kinds of soaps were provided — and ultimately left behind — in hotel rooms.
