Elected chairman of the Republican National Committee in 2009, this political analyst will offer insight into the key issues shaping the 2012 election as well as the communications challenges that lie ahead for each candidate.

Michael Steele

Michael Steele, a political analyst at MSNBC, was the 2009 chairman of the Republican National Committee (RNC). He set a new direction for the Republican Party by actively engaging Americans in their local communities, and empowering state and local Republican organizations to do the same. An expert on political strategy and election reform, Steele served as chairman of GOPAC, and held posts at the National Federal Election Reform Commission and the NAACP Blue Ribbon Commission on Election Reform.
