Presenters
Susan G. Barnes, APR, Fellow PRSA
Susan G. Barnes, APR, Fellow PRSA, is an instructor at Belmont University, and serves as vice-chair of the Universal Accreditation Board. She has taught public relations and journalism for more than 20 years. She has served as Accreditation chair for the Nashville Chapter of PRSA, and is in her second term with the UAB.
Janet Kacskos, APR, is director of communications at Millersville University, and chairs the Universal Accreditation Board (UAB). She has more than 15 years of public relations experience, serving as director of communications for Metropolitan State College of Denver, and at National University in San Diego. She was also a working journalist and has worked in high tech public relations, assisting Fortune500 clients. She brings extensive experience in the areas of media training, media relations, executive writing, communications counsel, and strategy and crisis public relations.
Dr. John E. Forde, APR, Fellow PRSA
Dr. John E. Forde, APR, Fellow PRSA, is associate professor at Mississippi State University, and immediate past co-chair of the Universal Accreditation Board. He has taught at Mississippi State since 1987. In 1997, he served as president of the four-state Southern Public Relations Federation, and received the organization’s Professional Achievement Award in 1999. He also was named the Public Relations Association of Mississippi State Practitioner of the Year.
