When you think of public relations, do visions of glamorous parties dance in your head? Maybe you secretly wish to control the media like puppets on a string? If so, this webinar will focus on the funny and faith-building lessons learned through a professional’s rise through the ranks of the public relations industry. Her lessons learned will give participants tips and strategies to stand out among their peers, prepare to begin their career in public relations and avoid some of the pitfalls that come with the life of a public relations pro.

Deanna McKinley, APR, manages community media relations for Frito-Lay North America, the $13 billion convenient foods business unit of PepsiCo. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Journalism-Public Relations from Florida A&M University and is currently pursuing her master’s degree in Communication & Leadership Studies from Gonzaga University.
