PRSA Seeks Submissions for Political Public Relations Issue of Public Relations Journal

The Public Relations Society of America and the Public Relations Journal are pleased to announce a special issue of the Journal dedicated to the emerging area of political public relations, defined as “the management process by which an organization or individual actor for political purposes, through purposeful communication and action, seeks to influence and to establish, build, and maintain beneficial relationships and reputations with its key publics to help support its mission and achieve its goals” (Strömbäck & Kiousis, 2011).
Submissions should make significant contributions to the profession’s development as well as offer theoretical and empirical contributions to further the scholarship of political public relations. Submissions from both scholars and practitioners are encouraged.

Submission Process: Abstracts and manuscripts for the special issue must conform to the requirements of regular submissions to the Journal.
IMPORTANT: The only change to the submission process is that abstracts and manuscripts must be submitted to the guest editors, Dr. Spiro Kiousis, APR, at skiousis@jou.ufl.edu, or Dr. Jesper Stromback at Jesper.Stromback@miun.se with the subject line “PR Journal Political Public Relations Issue.”
