Sandy Clary, APR, Fellow PRSA, always knew that she had an entrepreneurial spirit. After working for a daily newspaper and several nonprofits, she decided to venture out on her own. Clary founded Columbus, Ohio-based PR firm Clary Communications in 1983, and the 12-person firm recently celebrated its 25th anniversary this year. Clary spoke with Amy Jacques, associate editor of Tactics, about how she got her start, the importance of community service and staying through the current economic downturn.
