Member Benefit Spotlight

According to Nancy Hughes, APR, assistant vice president, communications and marketing at the National Health Council, the most valuable thing about the Health Academy is that "no matter where you are in your journey as a specialist in health care public relations, there are members ready and willing to network with you.

A Section member since 2002, Hughes noted that community members “nurture each other through forum discussions” and serve as a “family of professionals.”

“Two years ago I was in between jobs. I can’t say enough about the emotional and professional support I received from the members of the Health Academy,” said Hughes. “Everyone was willing to provide advice and job leads. The networking opportunities through the Health Academy are incredible.”
