Kristy Fifelski

Kristy Fifelski, founder and CEO of DigitalGov Group LLC, a company that helps government agencies embrace social media to serve and connect with citizens, is a nationally-acclaimed speaker, trainer and adviser on digital strategy and social media. She formerly served on the board of directors of the National Association of Government Webmasters and worked in city government for more than 10 years. She most recently served as the Web manager for the city of Reno, Nev., earning several national awards for their Web and social media programs, and was voted Employee of the Year in 2008. Fifelski is also known as “GovGirl” in the industry as the host and creator of GovGirl.com, a video blog about government. In her spare time, she teaches social media classes for small business at Truckee Meadows Community College. She holds a master’s degree in communication from Northern Illinois University, where she graduated with honors.
