Marlene S. Neill, Ph.D., APR, is an assistant professor in the department of Journalism, Public Relations & New Media at Baylor University in Waco, Texas. Her research on public relations management and ethics has been published in numerous publications, including the Journal of Mass Media Ethics, Public Relations Review, Journal of Communication Management and Journal of Advertising Education. A member of the PRSA Board of Ethics and Professionals Standards since January 2013, Neill has served as a PRSA leader on the chapter, district and national levels. She received her Ph.D. in advertising from the University of Texas at Austin, her Master of Arts degree in journalism from the University of Missouri at Columbia, and her Bachelor of Science degree in journalism from the University of Kansas. She previously worked for 10 years in government public relations at the City of Waco, with additional experience in nonprofit public relations and television reporting.
