Formed in 1961, the Maryland Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA-MD) serves more than 300 public relations professionals from various industries and organizations in the Central Maryland area to advance the profession as well as the professional. PRSA-MD brings its members together on an ongoing basis with various monthly programs and networking opportunities throughout the year.
PRSA-MD hosts an annual Chesapeake Conference, bringing together its members and members of the PR community for professional development and networking opportunities. The Chapter’s other key event is the annual Best in Maryland awards. It is a key time for public relations professionals to receive recognition from their peers for outstanding work in the field. It is also when some of the best public relations work of the year comes out on display.
PRSA-MD has an active job board, distributes a bi-weekly newsletter and keeps the conversation going in the social media arena via Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter. Public Relations is in a constant mode of change and PRSA-MD ensures its members are right in step.
PRSA-MD is committed to promoting the highest ethical standards, continuing education and creating meaningful professional value for each and every member.

“When I decided to get off the sidelines and participate more in PRSA events, the value of my membership grew ten-fold. Thanks to PRSA, I quickly expanded my professional network, honed my skills, grew my knowledge base and developed new friendships.”
