The PRSA Bluegrass Chapter represents professionals who practice public relations, communications and marketing in Louisville, Kentucky and the surrounding Metro area including Southern Indiana. In addition to Louisville, some of the other Kentucky cities served by the Bluegrass Chapter are Bowling Green, Elizabethtown, Frankfort, Owensboro, and Shelbyville. Cities served in Southern Indiana include New Albany and Jeffersonville.
The mission of the PRSA Bluegrass Chapter is to advance the practice and understanding of the public relations profession by promoting high ethical standards, professionalism, development of members, education, leadership, credibility and excellence.
Chartered in 1957, the PRSA Bluegrass Chapter meets on a monthly basis, offering members programs on the latest emerging trends and industry news. The Chapter also provides networking opportunities for members at its meetings and other periodically-scheduled social events. Equally important is the access to additional continuing education opportunities offered through webcasts, seminars, conferences and more.
The Chapter’s web site www.bluegrassprsa.org keeps the region’s practitioners updated on the latest news in the public relations field and regularly showcases member-written articles on a variety of relevant topics. The site also features available public relations jobs and keeps members connected by posting professional information in its “members only” section.

“I attribute a good deal of my career success to PRSA and some of the Chapter’s most active, experienced members when I first joined.”
