Formed in 1965, the California Inland Empire Chapter of PRSA serves to bring together public relations professionals in San Bernardino and Riverside Counties in Southern California, including cities from westernmost boundaries such as Chino and Pomona, to as far east as the Coachella Valley cities in the desert, and including the high desert communities. The current meeting and event population centers are in the Riverside-San Bernardino-Redlands area, and our monthly Professional Development luncheon meetings are well attended with upwards of 50 guests on average. On an annual basis, we host a comprehensive conference for practitioners as well as produce the Polaris awards banquet to provide peer recognition for the best PR work of the year. We also provide social mixers for additional networking, and for prospective members to get to know us. Our event attendance continues to grow as communications professionals in the region discover the value of our offerings. If your location within SoCal’s “Inland Empire” makes it difficult for you to participate, we invite you join with us in creating events and professional development opportunities to better serve your local communities—we have systems, tools, networks and energy to lend, should there be sufficient interest in your local community. Please contact the CIEC President for information about “satellite” IE events, or contact a current Board Member to find out more about current professional development programs or social mixers, membership information, sponsorship, serving on a committee, mentoring, or attending an upcoming conference.

“My first visit to a PRSA luncheon, I was looking for referrals for a training vendor with a particular focus. I got several good recommendations, and the consultant the University eventually hired did an excellent job. Everyone was so friendly and helpful, I was hooked. After that first meeting, I started attending regularly, got involved, and now I’m incoming president! PRSA-CIEC is a supportive, smart group of peers that is dedicated to advancing our profession — meeting the needs of a wide range of practitioners, from seasoned pros to students entering the workforce. If you want to get connected in Southern California’s inland region for marketing and PR, this is THE group to join!”
