The PRSA Colorado Chapter, based in Denver, serves about 450 members along Colorado’s Front Range, Eastern Plains and Western Slope regions. PRSA Colorado makes it easy for you to bring unparalleled information sources right to your desk, sharpen your skills and refine your career strategies through professional development. Being part of PRSA Colorado places you in the center of your peer network. More than one-fourth of our members are corporation communication professionals, and one-third are agency or independent practitioners. The other portion of our membership includes those working for nonprofit, government and education organizations. A full 75% of Chapter members have more than 10 years of relevant experience, and we are proud to have more than 100 Accredited professionals. PRSA Colorado is a network that works. More than 100 professionals attend each monthly luncheon programs. Our annual Gold Pick Award program draws close to 100 nominations and celebrates more than 60 awards, including prestigious accolades for deserving business professionals during an event that draws more than 300 guests. Each fall, we host a Chapter Retreat, a full-day event for members and non-members that includes a keynote luncheon presentation by a nationally-known speaker, at least eight professional development sessions and a networking party. PRSA Colorado initiates social connections for our members and the general communications industry. Our social media program includes a vibrant Web site that features current events, online registration and a member directory. Rather than a newsletter, we publish a blog that posts new member and community generated content nearly every day. Our @PRSAColo Twitter account has attracted more than 1,100 followers. The PRSA Colorado LinkedIn and Facebook groups enrich connections between members and fans. And, for our APR members and those interested in APR, we host a Ning group for idea sharing, support and mentoring.
