The San Diego/Imperial Counties Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) was founded in 1959 and has grown to its current membership of approximately 250 members. Members represent a wide range of experience levels, and their practice areas include corporate, agency, government, nonprofit, education and counseling. The Chapter, which is led by a volunteer board of directors, offers a full range of programs and services, each organized by volunteer committees. These include, but are not limited to, professional development opportunities, a job board, weekly newsletters, a public service program, an annual awards program, a new professionals group, social events, Accreditation (APR) program and liaison to the student Chapter at San Diego State University. PRSA firmly believes that professional integrity is based on sound and ethical practice. Upon joining the Society, each member agrees to adhere to PRSA’s Code of Professional Standards for the Practice of Public Relations. For more information, visit our Web site.

“Beyond adding credibility and professionalism to the public relations industry, being a member of PRSA and the San Diego/Imperial Counties Chapter has provided a platform for me to broaden my knowledge and skills within the discipline and as a business owner. It has positioned me in front of several influential and fellow PR professionals who have given me insurmountable guidance and support throughout my career.”
