Call For Papers: Top Research Paper Award and Betsy Plank Graduate Research Competition Award
The Educators Academy of the Public Relations Society of America invites public relations educators, public relations graduate students and public relations professionals to submit competitive papers for presentation at the 2012 PRSA International Conference in San Francisco, Oct. 13-16. Papers should test, refine or expand public relations practice, research or theory, or critically review issues relevant to public relations theory or research. Papers employing all methods of inquiry are invited. First-author presenters must be members of the Educators Academy of the Public Relations Society of America.
Graduate stuedent submissions will be judged separately for the Betsy Plank Graduate Research Competition Award. Solo authorship is required for award consideration, and applicants should identify as a student on the paper's cover page.
For Top Research Paper Award applicants, collaboration is permitted, but only one paper should be submitted and first-author presenters must be members of PRSA's Educators Academy. Only one author needs to attend the research session in San Francisco.
All papers are due by midnight EDT Friday, June 8, 2012. Please email one copy of the paper in a Word document to the attention of Dr. Marcia W. DiStaso. You will receive a submission receipt via email.

Call for Poster Session Teaching Abstracts
The Educators Academy of the Public Relations Society of America invites public relations educators, graduate students and professionals to submit competitive abstracts relating to public relations pedagogy for presentation at a poster session at the 2012 PRSA International Conference in San Francisco, Oct.13-16. This poster session will showcase best practices in education and/or provide examples of successful educational approaches, projects and programs.
Initial paper acceptance is based on a one-page abstract submitted for consideration. All abstracts will be peer reviewed and upon acceptance, authors must submit a précis of no more than five pages by October 1. Abstracts should refine, test or present best practices or research related to public relations pedagogy. Authors are limited to only two abstract submissions (only one will be accepted). First-author presenters must be members of the Educators Academy of the Public Relations Society of America.
All abstracts are due by midnight Friday, June 8, 2012. Abstracts should be double spaced and no more than 250 words in a Word document. Submissions must be sent by email with author(s), affiliation(s), title(s) and contact information to attention of Dr. Marcia W. DiStaso.
