Report: PR Profession Grew By 8.2% in 2012

According to new research that management-consulting firm StevensGouldPincus published last week, the PR profession enjoyed a healthy 8.2 percent growth rate in 2012.

Other noteworthy details from the report:

  • Operating profit grew from 18.2 percent to 18.8 percent despite billing rates remaining the same
  • PR firms with billings between $10 and $25 million had the largest growth in net revenues at 13.1 percent
  • The fastest growth occurred in the Southwest, Southeast and Northern California

The survey is the first annual poll focused on Net Revenue Growth by StevensGouldPincus, which has been conducting other industry wide surveys for 20 years.
