The Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) is the largest professional organization serving the U.S. public relations community. With a mission to “advance the profession and the professional.” Our membership comprises more than 21,000 practitioners and exceeds 11,000 university and college students through the Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA).
Our mission is to help communications professionals become smarter, better prepared and more connected through all stages of their career. PRSA provides professional development, sets standards of excellence, upholds principles of ethics, and acts as one of the industry’s leading voices.
We also bring together the profession’s collective disciplines and strengthen professional connections through Districts, Chapters, Professional Interest Sections and other communities.
Additional career-enhancing initiatives include: webinars; APR certification; awards; members-only online communities and resource library; publications, and conferences.
With support from thousands of PRSA members, The PRSA Foundation, an independent charity, raises funds to ensure a more diverse PR future by focusing on today’s students. PRSA is also a founding member of the Global Alliance for Public Relations and Communication Management.
