The Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) is the nation’s largest professional organization serving the communications community with a mission to “make communications professionals smarter, better prepared and more connected through all stages of their career.” Our membership collectively represents more than 30,000 members comprised of communications professionals spanning every industry sector nationwide and college and university students who encompass the Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA).
PRSA offers its members innovative lifelong learning opportunities and professional development, celebrates innovation and excellence within the industry, upholds principles of ethics, and acts as one of the industry’s leading voices.
We also bring together the profession’s collective disciplines and strengthen professional connections through Districts, Chapters, Professional Interest Sections and other communities.
Led by the PRSA Advocacy Advisory Board, PRSA researches, tracks and speaks out on current issues impacting your professional practice, principles and reputation. PRSA advocacy also focuses on three core areas: the business value of public relations, ethics and diversity within the profession.
Additional career-enhancing initiatives and programming include: webinars; APR certification; awards; thought leadership; members-only online communities and resource library; publications, and conferences.
With support from thousands of PRSA members, The PRSA Foundation, an independent charity, raises funds to ensure a more diverse PR future by focusing on today’s generation of talented students. PRSA is also a founding member of the Global Alliance for Public Relations and Communication Management.
