PRSA Seeks Leaders to Advance Profession and Industry

The Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) has begun its annual process of recruiting candidates for 2018 National Board of Directors.

PRSA encourages dedicated members to apply for available PRSA board leadership positions.

  • Serving on PRSA’s Board of Directors is a prominent leadership opportunity, not only within PRSA but within the entire public relations profession.
  • We seek candidates with qualifications and characteristics such as proven leadership skills and professional accomplishments, and diversity of practice sectors such as agency, corporate, nonprofit, government, military and academia.

Director Recruitment Process

The submission deadline for director applications is Tuesday, June 13. Video interviews with the Nominating Committee will take place Saturday, July 29–Sunday, July 30.

Applicants for Officers of the PRSA 2018 Board of Directors

Five PRSA members have submitted applications for review and consideration for the PRSA 2018 National Board of Directors.

  • The Board of Directors will choose nominees for open officer positions during its June 10 meeting in New York.
  • The nominees, along with any petitioned candidates, will be presented for approval at the PRSA Leadership Assembly on Saturday, Oct. 7, prior to the PRSA 2017 International Conference in Boston, Massachusetts.

Submit Comments on Behalf of Officer Applicants

The Board of Directors will begin to accept comments on behalf of officer applicants on Thursday, May 4, 2017. All members of PRSA and other interested individuals may provide comments about officer applicants.

The deadline for submitting comments on behalf of officer applicants is Friday, May 19, 2017.

Process Timetable for Officer Applicants

PRSA Bylaws Article V. Section 9(a) charge the PRSA Board of Directors to present to the Leadership Assembly nominations for the offices of chair-elect, treasurer and secretary.
