Michael A. Brown, Sr., Ph.D

The communications lead for a Department of Energy office in Washington, D.C., Michael A. Brown Sr. also teaches online and in-person college courses on social media, public relations and communications. He is an Air Force retiree who served 24 years in uniform, and as a public relations professional and accomplished public speaker he has 40+ years of military and civilian experience combined. 

Brown has served as Chair of PRSA’s Mid-Atlantic District, President of the Virginia Peninsula Chapter, and an Assembly Delegate-At-Large. 

He is the author of several books including “3D Coaching: Suggestions for a New Approache, and “The Right Fit Leading Process: EI-Based Team Building.”

Brown earned his Ph.D. in public administration and urban policy with a concentration in international business from Old Dominion University in May 2011.
