PRSA National Leadership
The Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) is the world's largest organization for public relations professionals. Its primary objectives are to advance the standards of the public relations profession and to provide members with professional development opportunities.

An important element to the Society's growth and development is the advisory input and creativity of a large body of leadership from within the membership.

PRSA's Board of Directors, committees, councils, and task forces provide guidance and direction at the policy and operational levels of the Society.

The names, addresses, phone and fax numbers and e-mail addresses of PRSA members are expressly intended for informational purposes or to communicate informally with other members, but are not to be used for any commercial or research purposes whatsoever.

PRSA will provide periodic updates on society activities to leadership and members. Click here for the latest updates.

Board of Directors

The 17-member Board of Directors manages and controls the business affairs of the Society. Members of the Board are the Society's national officers, consisting of four Officers and 12 Directors, all elected by the Assembly at its annual meeting; and ex officio the Immediate Past President of the Society. Each district is represented by at least one Director, while two Directors serve in an at-large capacity

Chapter Presidents

Each Chapter has proportional representation in the National Assembly, the Society's governing body. National officers and board members, as well as district and section chairs, serve as Assembly delegates.

Former PRSA Presidents

PRSA salutes those individuals who, as volunteers, were elected to the Society's highest office and who have guided the Society so ably during their terms. PRSA acknowledges and offers profound gratitude for the selfless service of the past presidents of the Society.

Assembly Delegates

Delegates represent Chapters, Districts, Sections and other constituent groups within PRSA. Chapter delegates are elected by their respective Chapters, Districts and Sections are represented by their respective chairs. Elected delegates who are not able to attend the Assembly may be replaced by alternate delegates appointed by the Chapter presidents or vice presidents or, in the case of Districts, Sections, and other groups, as provided in Article III, Section 4 of the PRSA Bylaw.

District Council

The Society is composed of more than 100 Chapters grouped in 10 geographical Districts. Each chapter has its own officers and board of directors. Chapter representatives within each district elect a district chair who serves as a liaison with the chapters, national board of directors and headquarters staff.
