The 2005 Senior Summit focused on the challenges of public relations leadership at today's colleges and universities. The Summit's small and highly interactive format allowed the 50 participants to engage in spirited dialogue with reporters, industry leaders and their peers from across the nation. Topics included internal communications challenges, branding, web strategies and current issues such as the the rising cost of higher education and the most effective media relations methods in today's electronic world. In addition to the formal sessions, attendees also had ample opportunity to get to know their counterparts from other universities. In addition to the information gathered during the formal sessions, the contacts made during the Senior Summit are often cited in follow-up surveys as one of the key benefits of attending the meeting.
