Established in 1978, college and university public relations educators, both full- and part-time, and practitioners who share with educators a commitment to improving the quality of teaching and scholarly research in the field are invited to be members of the Educators Academy.
Annually, the Academy sponsors seminars on teaching issues, techniques, and scholarly research, and in conjunction with PRSA's Educational Affairs Committee, conducts research into the role, function and status of undergraduate and graduate public relations education. An annual International Interdisciplinary public relations mid-year research conference is open to public relations educators and graduate students globally, to all educators in the business, communication, and behavioral sciences with research contributions capable of expanding the public relations body of knowledge, and to all professionals interested in research results and/or with a willingness to become partners with educators in conducting and sponsoring research. Additional benefits of membership include receipt of the Academy's newsletter, membership survey information and access to the Academy's e-Group. Members will also receive reduced price registration to Academy sponsored activities. |
