About the Section
Members of the Entertainment and Sports Professional Interest Section (founded 2005) share a very unique consumer and audience outcome -"FUN." Public relations professionals, whose work involves fun and entertaining audiences, whether it's one person at a time or in the millions, will want to join this Section. Members include communication professionals in amateur, collegiate and professional sports, those in film, television, radio, music, home entertainment, gaming, sports and entertainment publications, as well as those who service these industries. Programs and benefits target specific member interests including latest research findings, trends, communication techniques and keeping up with changing technologies. Teleseminars – Without ever leaving your office, you can take advantage of timely, informative professional development seminars offered several times a year that target specific member interests. Online Membership Directory – The secure online directory allows members quick access to the contact information of the entire Section for networking purposes and one-on-one interaction E-Group/Job Board – This secure online forum allows members the opportunity to share advice and ideas on topics relevant to our Section. It alerts members to queries and new career opportunities. It also includes document archives for articles and presentations written by Section members or speakers and Section news items. Professional Development and Networking Opportunities at the PRSA International Conference – Every year, the Section offers a specialized professional development session on topics timely to our professionals. The Section also hosts its own dinner allowing members the opportunity for critical face-to-face networking.
