| Authors should submit two manuscript copies in IBM-compatible, Microsoft Word attachments to the editor, Donald K. Wright at don.wright@prsa.org. In order to facilitate anonymous review, one copy must be called the “review copy” and only the article title should appear on the first page of the manuscript. There should be absolutely no identification of the author(s) within this copy. The second copy should be called the “publication copy” and must include the paper’s title plus contact information about all authors. Please deliver submissions in files that are named using the last name and first initial of the contact author plus the date indicated by two numbers for the month, day and year [Example: BursonH102107]. |
Manuscripts should be prepared according to the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association (5th ed.). All articles must be submitted in 12-point Georgia type face and double-spaced. It is preferred that all tables and figures be included within the text of submitted articles because that’s where they will appear if the article is selected for “publication.” Authors are encouraged not to include tables so large they will not fit on one page. |
| Public Relations Journal has an Editorial Review Board that is chaired by the editor and comprised of leading public relations scholars and practitioners. |
Authors are responsible for all statements made in their articles and for obtaining copyright permission to reprint tables, figures or quotations of 500 words or more. Authors should write to original author(s) and publishers to request nonexclusive world rights in all languages to use the material in the article and in any future editions. Authors must provide copies of all permissions at the same time they submit the article for consideration by Public Relations Journal. |
| In the e-mail message submitted with each article being considered for inclusion in Public Relations Journal, authors must include a statement indicating all findings reported in the manuscript are original, contribute to the broad body of knowledge in public relations, have not been published previously either in print or electronic form and are not being simultaneously submitted elsewhere. Authors also should indicate they have complied with American Psychological Association (APA) ethical standards in the treatment of any human subjects. |
| After manuscripts are accepted, authors will be asked to make revisions in the formatting of their articles based upon the “publication” and formatting terms and conditions of PRSA. The contract author assumes the responsibility to make certain all coauthors approve of the accepted manuscript and concur with its inclusion in Public Relations Journal. |
