TRICARE is the health care program for 9.7 million active duty service members, retirees and their families, and National Guard and Reserve members and their families. To slow the high growth in retail pharmacy use, TRICARE Management Activity (TMA) embarked on a comprehensive and successful educational effort in 2011 to educate beneficiaries about the convenience, safety and affordability of TRICARE Pharmacy Home Delivery, a mail order prescription program which offers significant savings to beneficiaries and the Department of Defense.
