We accept self-nominations as well as nominations by a PR professional who is familiar with the candidate’s accomplishments. Anyone may submit a nomination. To qualify, a candidate must be a PRSA Technology Section member who is no more than five years into his or her PR career by the end of 2019.
Tech Journalists’ Choice Award
Reporters are inundated with pitches galore—they get them by email. By text message. Even by DM when they open up Twitter. It’s easy to see why some reporters complain that the PR signal to noise ratio is just too low.
But some PR pros rise to the top. They only pitch stories they know will be of interest. They give exclusives when it makes sense for both reporter and company. And when news cycles are challenging, they don’t disappear.
We will ask 100+ of the country’s top tech reporters to help us identify PR professionals who have mastered the craft, and tell us what makes them so helpful. Our judges will review these reporter-driven nominations and we will recognize the best of the best at the PRSA International Conference.
If the winner is not already a PRSA Tech Section member, he/she will be given a one-year honorary membership.
