Barbara "Basia" Stachurska
Barbara “Basia” Stachurska, PRSSA 2023-2024 National Vice President of Brand Engagement, is a rising senior at Emerson College pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Public Relations with a psychology minor.
Originally from Warsaw, Poland, she joined PRSSA right after moving to Boston in 2021 to connect with other PR students and professionals. During the 2022-2023 academic year, she served as Historian and Social Media Chair of Emerson PRSSA. She is incredibly involved in Emerson’s campus life and some of her leadership positions include International Student Ambassador, Treasurer at Emerson Green Collective and the assistant producer and content creator for the Post Grad Cheat Sheet Podcast. Basia's commitment to making a positive impact extends beyond campus borders, as she partners with nonprofit organizations in the areas of education and sustainability.
Apart from her interest in communication, she loves graphic design and illustration, and is curious about new technologies. Outside of school and PRSSA you can find her exploring the Boston art scene and traveling whenever she can. She is incredibly excited to step into the new role and connect with the PR community in the U.S. and beyond.
