About

Advancing Communications Expertise at the Intersection of Faith, Culture and Public Trust

Faith, spirituality and belief systems play an important role in shaping public dialogue, community engagement and organizational reputation. For communications professionals, understanding these perspectives is increasingly essential to building trust, navigating complex issues and connecting with many audiences.

The PRSA Faith & Communications Affinity Group is a professional community dedicated to advancing communications expertise among practitioners who work with faith-based organizations, interfaith networks, religiously affiliated audiences and communities where belief or non-belief influences public understanding.

Grounded in PRSA's commitment to ethical communications, inclusivity and professional excellence, the group provides opportunities for learning, collaboration and meaningful engagement across a broad range of professional disciplines.

Open to professionals of all faith traditions and perspectives, including those who do not identify with a particular faith, the group is not a forum for religious expression. Rather, it is an inclusive professional community grounded in pluralism, focused on strengthening the knowledge, skills and strategic capabilities needed to communicate effectively across different belief systems.

Our Purpose

The Faith & Communications Affinity Group brings together public relations professionals, communications strategists and industry leaders who work with, or seek to better understand, faith-based organizations, religious communities and spiritually engaged audiences.

Representing nonprofit organizations, corporations, agencies, government and independent practice, members share a commitment to advancing ethical, informed and culturally competent communications.

Through professional development, knowledge sharing and collaboration, the group seeks to equip communicators with the tools and perspectives necessary to navigate the intersection of faith, culture, public policy and public trust.
