Mike Gross, APR, Fellow PRSA, is president at AKCG – Public Relations Counselors, and he leads the team by providing strategic planning, issues/crisis counseling and building team harmony. Previously, he was COO, vice president and account manager at AKCG, respectively. He is responsible for maintaining client relationships and developing new strategies for the firm’s clients. He has served clients in the education, aging services, energy, health care, hospitality and publishing industries.

Prior to returning to the firm in 2014, Gross was senior vice president of a suburban Philadelphia public relations firm where he led robust integrated communications programs for a variety of clients.

He serves on the Board of Directors for SERV Connect, which provides residential crisis assessment and stabilization services for adolescents and young adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. SERV Connect is a subsidiary of SERV Behavioral Health System, Inc.

He has been instrumental in winning awards from the Philadelphia and New Jersey Chapters of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) and from PRNEWS in the national NonProfit PR Awards competition as well as PRSA’s Anvils programs. Moreover, he has led his team to win the “Best in Show” awards in PRSA Philadelphia’s Pepperpots Award program and PRSA New Jersey’s Pyramid Award program five times. Gross is a past president of the Philadelphia Chapter of PRSA and former chair of Mid-Atlantic District, which supports nine PRSA Chapters across four states and Washington, D.C.  He currently serves as the immediate past chair of PRSA’s national Honors and Awards Committee and was inducted into PRSA College of Fellows in 2024. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Rowan University.
