Ann Knabe, Ph.D.

Ann P. Knabe
Dr. Knabe is a Colonel in the U.S. Air Force Reserve with 30+ years in military public affairs, national security and international settings. As a Reservist, Ann is an emergency preparedness liaison officer in the U.S. Air Force. On the civilian side, she owns a public relations consulting firm in Milwaukee, Wis., and serves as an adjunct professor in crisis communications at University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee. 

As a senior public relations counselor, she believes in the importance of research, strategic and informed outreach, and smart growth. She describes herself in broad terms as a “relationship-builder,” referring to her extensive work in media relations, internal communications, social media, community relations, international public affairs and congressional relations.

Ann is the 2020 chair for the Universal Accreditation Board, the international governing body that grants and maintains the Accreditation in Public Relations (APR) credential.
