Kevin Max

Kevin spent his professional life at the intersection of content creation, content marketing, finance and technology. He started his career trading S&P options at the Chicago Mercantile Exchange. In New York, he wrote for Money Magazine, the New York Times and TheStreet.com. He brought his financial writing and love of speechwriting to bear as a vice president of investor relations at AXA Group, where he worked with leadership and messaging in Paris and New York. After 9/11, Kevin moved to Oregon, where he became the director of communications and speechwriter for the Oregon State Treasurer. In 2009, Kevin launched his first media startup—Statehood Media—under which he and his team created lifestyle publications 1859 Oregon's Magazine and 1889 Washington’s Magazine. 

Kevin studied philosophy, politics and economics at the University of Notre Dame and journalism at Northwestern University. He loves trail running, jazz, ‘80s punk, Irish novels, language and words.
