Mildred Perreault, Ph.D.
Dr. Mimi Perreault is an award-winning public relations scholar and educator whose work centers on disaster communication, community resilience and the role of local media in crisis recovery. An assistant professor at the University of South Florida’s Zimmerman School of Advertising & Mass Communications (Tampa, Fla.), she brings extensive experience in qualitative research, media relations and public affairs. Her work has been published in leading journals, and she frequently collaborates with practitioners to strengthen communication strategies for hurricane and flood‑prone communities. Dr. Perreault is also a PRSSA advisor, an active PRSA member and a 2025 PRSA Sunshine District Trailblazer Award recipient.
