Alex Ortiz, Vice President of Information Technology

Alex Ortiz, MCSE, is the Vice President of Information Technology for PRSA.

Ortiz is responsible for developing and maintaining PRSA’s network infrastructure, working closely with strategic partners in deploying key aspects of PRSA’s technology plan. Ortiz continually works to support staff and membership and played a key role in PRSA’s first website launch in 1995 – and subsequent redesigns – as well as PRSA’s first online member portal in 2001.

He is also one of the longest tenured employees at PRSA, with more than 30 years at the organization. Following two summers as a membership service representative at PRSA, Ortiz was hired full-time as an assistant to the IT manager in 1991. Throughout his time at PRSA, Ortiz has assumed increasing responsibility in membership and network management.

Ortiz has acquired several technical certifications in network engineering, database administration, association management systems and business process re-engineering.
