Dawn Robinette, APR, Fellow PRSA

Dawn Robinette, APR, Fellow PRSA, owns Tale to Tell Communications, an award-winning integrated marketing communications agency that connects, creates and tells stories through strategic communications. Her career of award-winning work includes national, regional and local initiatives ranging from the high-speed world of NASCAR and the U.S. Olympic Torch Relay to welcoming the departed at the Día de los Muertos Festival and celebrating culture at the Essence Music Festival.   

 

Currently serving on the board of directors of the Public Relations Society of America, Dawn uses servant leadership to give back to her community and profession, including as PRSA San Antonio president, PRSA Southwest District chair and chair of the PRSA Governance Committee. She was named “Public Relations Professional of the Year” in San Antonio and Dawn’s experience and Tale to Tell’s campaign and content work have earned more than 35 regional and local awards, including “Best in Show” and awards of excellence for media relations, marketing campaigns, crisis communications, events and observations and social media. 

 

Accredited in public relations and a member of the PRSA College of Fellows, Dawn’s background includes extensive nonprofit management experience, including the Texas Bankers Association, the Texas Bankers Foundation, the Austin Bar Association and the Susan G. Komen Foundation Dallas Affiliate. She has previously served on the nonprofit boards of Women in Communications Austin and the School Discovery Network, and has been active in PRSA chapters in Austin, Dallas, Detroit and San Antonio. Dawn has taught public relations and advertising at the college level, is a frequent speaker on marketing and communications and writes for a variety of print and digital publications. She is a certified tourism ambassador and holds both bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the University of Texas at Austin.
