Rewriting the Narrative: LGBTQ+ Content Creators and the Power of Representation

Join PRSA and the DEI Committee for a timely virtual conversation featuring GLAAD’s Senior Director of Spanish Language & Latinx Media and Representation and LGBTQ+ content creators.
Founded in 1985, GLAAD is a leading nonprofit advancing LGBTQ+ acceptance through media advocacy, storytelling, and cultural change. During this session, we will discuss the current challenges facing the LGBTQ+ community, what GLAAD is seeing on the ground, and how the organization is working to shape more accurate and inclusive narratives.
Attendees will also hear from one to two LGBTQ+ content creators who will share their personal journeys, how they authentically connect with audiences across social platforms, and the impact storytelling can have in building understanding and visibility.
The program will also explore how PR professionals can collaborate with GLAAD’s Creator Community to elevate LGBTQ+ stories, initiatives, and voices while networking with fellow communicators committed to inclusion and advocacy.
