PRSSA Establishes New Chapters at Northwest Nazarene University, University of Tennessee at Chattanooga and Texas Tech University

NEW YORK, June 11, 2019 PRSSA, the foremost organization for students interested in the public relations and communications fields, announced today that it has granted charters to Northwest Nazarene University in Nampa, Idaho, the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, and Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas. This brings the total number of PRSSA Chapters to 368.

“We are excited to be able to welcome these three great universities into the PRSSA family,” said Jeneen Garcia, Executive Director, PRSSA. “Through their campus Chapters, students can enhance their educational experiences with networking events like our International Conference, access to mentors, strategic career advice and much more.” 

The Northwest Nazarene University charter was granted to the Department of Communication Studies. The university is a Christian comprehensive institution offering over 60 areas of study, 18 master’s degrees in seven different disciplines and two doctoral degrees.

The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga charter was granted to the Department of Communication. In collaboration with its many regional partners, the university offers its students an experiential learning environment with more than 200 programs and concentrations to choose from.

The Texas Tech University charter was granted to the Public Relations Department. The university is the largest comprehensive higher education institution in the western two-thirds of Texas. Twelve colleges and schools make up the academic areas at the university and offer more than 150 undergraduate degrees, 100 graduate degrees and 50 doctoral degrees.
