PRSSA Names 2024-2025 National Committee

NEW YORK, March 11, 2024 – PRSSA announced today the election of its 2024-2025 National Committee. Milagros Orcoyen was elected as National President, the first from the organization's Latin American Chapters, and will lead the group of volunteer student committee members beginning their one-year term on June 1.

“As a former PRSSA member, it is thrilling to see such an array of talent dedicated to leading our organization,” said Joseph Abreu, APR, CPRC, PRSA 2024 Chair. “I congratulate all the newly elected National Committee leaders and look forward to working with them to elevate the future of the profession.”

A senior at the Universidad Argentina de la Empresa (UADE) studying Public Relations and  Institutional Communications, Orcoyen joined PRSSA as a freshman, when she served as the Events Coordinator at her local Chapter, and as the Conference Coordinator for their first-ever District Conference. She currently serves as PRSSA’s Vice President of Events and Fundraising, and has earned a number of PRSSA-related awards, including the Elaine Averick Outstanding National Committee Member Award in recognition of her dedicated service to the National Committee and PRSSA members.

New National Committee Members also include:

  • VP of Digital Communications: Madeline Todorovich, Ohio Northern University
  • VP of Events and Fundraising: Alicia Caracciolo, University of South Carolina
  • VP of Brand Engagement: Ro (Jalynn) Lane, University of Memphis
  • VP of Career Services: Megan vanVollenhoven, University of South Carolina
  • VP of Member Services: Emily Vazquez, California State University, Fullerton
  • VP of Professional Development: Cecilia Edelberg, University of Florida
  • VP of Belonging, Equity, Diversity & Inclusion: Uyen Ngo, Purdue University
