PRSA Announces 2026 Board of Directors Nominations

Angela Walters Eveillard, APR, Selected as Chair-Elect Nominee
NEW YORK, July 1, 2025 – PRSA, the nation’s leading professional organization serving the communications community, announced today the nominees for the 2026 Board of Directors who will be presented for election at the virtual Leadership Assembly on Friday, October 3, 2025. Delegates representing the membership will elect Officer and Director candidates to serve a term beginning on January 1, 2026.
Officers serve a term of one year, and Directors serve a two-year term.
“Each of this year’s nominees brings a deep commitment to PRSA and a strong record of service to our community,” said Michelle Egan, APR, Fellow PRSA, chair of the 2025 Nominating Committee. “Their leadership, insight, and dedication to the profession reflect the values that drive our organization forward. I’m confident they will help shape a strong and strategic future for PRSA.”
Nominations for Officers of the 2026 Board of Directors include:
Chair-elect: Angela Walters Eveillard, MBA, APR, Executive Director of Marketing and Public Relations, Hillsborough Community College, Tampa, Florida
Treasurer: Kevin M. Waetke, APR, Fellow PRSA, Associate Vice President, Corporate Marketing, Sammons Financial Group, West Des Moines, Iowa
Secretary: Christina Morton, APR, Director, Communications, Florida Fruit & Vegetable Association, Maitland, Florida
The PRSA Nominating Committee also made their selections for the open Director positions for the 2026 Board. The selections of the Committee include:
Midwest District Director: Erin Van Zee, APR, RDG Planning & Design, Omaha, Nebraska
North Pacific District Director: Janelle Guthrie, APR, Fellow PRSA, Building Industry Association of Washington, Tumwater, Washington
Southwest District Director: Dawn Duplantier Robinette, MA, APR, Tale to Tell Communications, LLC, Schertz, Texas
Sunshine District Director: Jennifer Dunn, MA, APR, Conversa, Tampa, Florida
Director-At-Large: Michael Anthony Brown Sr., Ph.D., Communications Lead, Department of Energy, Yorktown, Virginia
The Nominating Committee has not put forth a nominee from the Southeast District. Qualified candidates may apply by petition.*
The PRSA Board of Directors includes 17 voting members. Heide Harrell, M.A., APR, will serve as chair and Ray Day, APR, will serve as Immediate Past chair in 2026.
Angela Walters Eveillard, MBA, APR, is executive director of marketing and public relations at Hillsborough Community College and a longtime PRSA leader. A former PRSSA student leader at the University of Florida, she has served at every level of the organization — from president of the PRSA Tampa Bay Chapter to chair of the Sunshine District, District Council and APR Marketing Committee. A past member of the PRSA National Board of Directors, she currently contributes to the Commission on Public Relations Education, PRSA’s 2025 strategic planning committee and the 2024 CEO search committee. Eveillard was named the 2016 Sunshine District Trailblazer of the Year and received the 2024 Geri Evans, APR, Fellow PRSA Award for Distinguished Service.

*Candidates by Petition
Article VIII, Section 5 of the PRSA Bylaws provides: Nominations may also be made by petition for all positions by at least 10 Leadership Assembly delegates and filed with the Secretary of the Society at PRSA Headquarters at least 30 days prior to the annual meeting of the Leadership Assembly. Immediately upon receipt of any such nominations, the Secretary shall send notice of such nominations to all members.
