Suzanne B. Grant, APR

Suzanne B. Grant, APR is a seasoned public relations professional with a proven track record of success in driving awareness and action on critical health issues. As Vice President of Media Relations and Issues Management for the American Heart Association, she leads a dynamic team responsible for earned media strategies that educate the public, drive scientific thought leadership and, ultimately, save lives. In addition, she oversees the organization’s crisis communications and organizational communications.
A television former journalist with public relations leadership experience within a Fortune 50 company and agencies, she played a key role in launching the AHA’s COVID-19 response, which provided timely and accurate information and resources to the media, public and health care professionals.
A graduate of the S.I. Newhouse School of Publica Communications – Syracuse University, Grant had earned her APR and Crisis Communications certifications from PRSA. The former PRSA board member (Tampa and Dallas) now resides in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia.
