Joshua Jason
Joshua Jason is the founder and president of Joshua Jason Public Relations (JJPR), a boutique entertainment public relations firm based in Los Angeles with a satellite presence in New York, specializing in Oscar campaigns for specialty and prestige titles. Since launching JJPR in 2002, he has built an international client roster of filmmakers, talent, and authors, with a particular emphasis on Academy Awards strategies for Best International Feature Film, Live Action, Animated and Documentary Short Films, and Documentary Features, as well as select Best Picture contenders. Jason has led or contributed to more than 80 film campaigns and 30 publishing projects, including multiple Oscar winners and nominees. His work includes awards campaigns for films such as CODA (Best Picture), Navalny (Best Documentary Feature), The Neighbors’ Window (Best Live Action Short Film), Windshield Wiper (Best Animated Short Film), Skin (Best Live Action Short Film), and dozens of international submissions from over 50 countries.
JJPR collaborates with studios and distributors including Warner Bros., Searchlight, Focus Features, Apple TV, Amazon Studios, A24, Magnolia Pictures, Film Movement, GKIDS, and Shout! Factory, advising on FYC strategy, qualifying runs, and festival positioning. Known for maximizing modest budgets, Jason focuses on targeted media, trade visibility, and grassroots engagement to break through crowded awards seasons, particularly for shorts, documentaries, and international titles.
