Mario Lewis
Mario Lewis is an experienced banking professional with over 25 years of experience in regulatory engagement, banking supervision, leveraged finance, investment banking, internal audit, and financial management. He is a Managing Director and Head of North American Regulatory Examination Team within Citi’s Institutional Client Group. Previously, Mario worked at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York as a Team Lead and Senior Bank Examiner, Royal Bank of Canada as a Vice-president in its US High Yield Capital Markets business, UBS as an Associate Director in Global Industrials Group in the Investment Banking Division, and Raytheon Technologies on their Corporate Audit Staff and in their Financial Management Development Program. While at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, he served as the president and executive team member for the African American and Latino Men’s Association (AALMA) employee resource group where he led the organization’s diversity programming and member development.
Mario received his MBA from the MIT Sloan School of Management, a Certificate in Marketing from Harvard University’s Extension School, and a BS in Finance from Bentley University. He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), Financial Risk Manager (FRM), and Commissioned Bank Examiner credentials, and previously held the Series 7 and 63 licenses, and the Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) designation.
Mario serves on the Board of CALIBR Leadership Network, an affiliate of the Executive Leadership Council (ELC). He achieved his Distinguished Toastmasters (DTM) designation from Toastmasters International in 2019 and was a 2012 finalist in their World Championship of Public Speaking. As a member of Omni-Pro Speakers Bureau, Mario is also an award-winning keynote speaker and presentation coach, who provides audiences and individuals with the motivation and strategies to become powerful and dynamic communicators. Based on his journey to overcome his fear of public speaking, his mission is to inspire and share with others how to transform their communication challenges into personal success
