Jerome Pionk
Jerome Pionk is first and foremost a dad trying to create a better world for those he loves. Currently, he resides in West Seattle, Washington and serves as the Chief Communications Officer for the King County Department of Local Services, an agency responsible serving the nearly 250k residents of King County’s unincorporated areas.
A retired Army Lieutenant Colonel with nearly 23 years of active service, Jerry has served in a variety of command and staff positions, to include multiple deployments to Afghanistan and culminating at the Pentagon with the Army Office of the Chief of Public Affairs.
Since early 2019, he has been working with Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools and was part of the earliest whitelist cohorts for Open AI’s Dall-E2 and ChatGPT applications, and continues to integrate AI tools and training with public service and private clients, as well as to other creative works.
He is an Accredited Public Relations (APR+M) practitioner with over thirty years of public service experience at the local, state, Federal and international level, and has had the honor of leading, training and building effective communications teams worldwide. Jerome has professional certifications from the Project Management Institute (PMP), Massachusetts Institute of Tecnolgy in AI Integration,Design and Services, and the University California Davis in Multimedia Communications and Production. He is a graduate of the US Army Command and General Staff College, with an MBA from Columbia Southern University and a BA from Seattle University.
