David Reel
David Reel serves as Maryland director for Quantum Communications, consultants who provide counsel and services on strategy, advocacy, and media matters for profit and not for profit organizations. He also serves as managing partner for The Gladstone Group, consultants who provide counsel and services on governance, leadership and management matters to not-for-profit organizations. He also serves as secretary/treasurer for The Melos Institute, applied research and learning center that has developed a new model for member engagement at membership-based organizations.
A champion for lifelong learning, he led a team at the University of Virginia in developing and delivering a ten-module onsite association management certificate program. He has developed and delivered professional development programs for the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA), University of Maryland, College of Southern Maryland, U.S. Chamber Institute for Organization Management, National Association of Home Builders, and Leadership Institute. He is a past chair of PRSA's Chesapeake Chapter and PRSA’s Mid Atlantic District. While serving as a full time CEO at award winning not for profit organizations, he earned and maintained the Certified Association Executive (CAE) designation from the American Society of Association Executives.
