James Shackelford is the CEO at Lifelong: Health for All, where he leads an outstanding team working to remove barriers to health and oversees programs that improve access to quality care, stable housing and nutritious food. Shackelford also serves on the board of directors of the Haitian Global Health Alliance and the Town Hall Theater, a landmark theater venue in New York’s Times Square founded by suffragists in 1921.
Prior to Lifelong, James held senior global communications and brand roles at amfAR, The Foundation for AIDS Research and Aon. Previously, he founded a strategic communications and marketing firm, driving impact, engagement and growth for some of the world’s most respected brands, including AARP, Walmart, Be The Match and UNICEF. He has also served as board director of numerous non-profit organizations, advancing work across public health, economic development, theater and the arts, and animal rescue.
